Winter Banquet, Grand Prixs, Boston Marathon
Winter Banquet
We are all lined up for our Winter Banquet on Saturday Night, March 5th, from 5PM-8PM at the Village Tavern in Salem.
We will have a separate room and our own bartender. The club will supply light appetizers, but we’ll have a cash bar. At the Winter Banquet we will recognize the WGP 2020 award winners as well as our Iron Runners. We are also aiming to have a selection of pictures capturing our activities in 2020. Kelly Pheulpin will be sending out an Evite, please use that to let us know if you are coming so we can size the appetizers correctly. Hope you can make it, it will be a great time!

The WGP committee will be sending out more details on these as needed. The web site will also be updated. But take this as a heads’ up so you can mark your calendars!
USATF
We are excited to see strong interest in USATF racing this year. The WGP committee has taken care in their selections to avoid conflicts with USATF races. In fact, we get to “double-dip” between WGP and USATF with the Lone Gull 10K in September. Our first USATF race is next weekend, Sunday February 13th at the Super Sunday 4 Miler in Bedford NH. Send questions or inquiries to christiannolin@gmail.com.
Boston Marathon Gel Stop
We are still looking for about 10 more volunteers to participate at the Boston Marathon Mile 17 Gel stop. This is a tremendously exciting volunteer opportunity for you to see the world’s premier marathon up-close-and-personal. And did I mention that there is a Boston Marathon gift warmup jacket for all volunteers? Well there is, and it’s awesome. Last but not least, we have several Wickeds running the Boston Marathon this year including our recipients of the club numbers, Amy Chruniak and Paul Kuconis. So we get to cheer them and the others on, also up-close-and-personal. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Kelly at kpheulpin@aol.com.
That’s all for now. Be careful out on the roads, and hope to see you soon!
