Welcome New Member(s)!
Welcome to Wicked! Here is some information that will help you to get to know us.
The primary method of communication we use is with a Google Groups mailing list. As a new member, you will receive a invitation to join this group. Please accept this invitation and watch for updates from the club. The club president sends an email every 2-3 weeks with general updates but often there are other special notices.
In addition to the email list, we have news postings on this website, typically reflecting what is sent in the email updates from the president. Finally we have a few social media pages:
- A main club Facebook page.
- A club Facebook page for informal race and run announcements.
- A main club Instagram account.
- A strava group.
In addition to the above, this website has other helpful information for you to reference. Check out the club calendar which tracks all of our events, get to know the board of directors and other key contacts, and just for fun you can read up on our history or exciting races such as the Boston Marathon.
All of what we do is only made possible by members who are willing to give some of their time and talent back to the community. When you signed up, you may have indicated what parts of the club you’d like to get involved with. We have many opportunities for members, including:
- Public Race Committees (Frosty Four, Miles Over The Moon)
- Club Race Event Committees (26×1 relay, Mill Cities Relay
- Scholarship Committee
- Social Event Committee
- Group Run Captain
- USATF or Wicked Grand Prix Committees
- Race Volunteer
- Boston Marathon Volunteer
- Club Governance
Please consider raising your hand to get involved. It’s easy to start with a low-effort, short-time-commitment activity. It’s a great way to know your fellow club members while providing service to others. You can express your interest to any of the leaders in our club. The pay isn’t that good but the benefits are fantastic!
